Leading Strategic Change, Uttar Pradesh Police Force, India

Following the success of tailored training for 20 participants previously delivered to the Uttar Pradesh Police Force, ZETAWEB International was again asked to design a tailored programme, this time on Leading Strategic Change.

Key areas were identified for special consideration through preliminary discussions with the client. Using ZETAWEB International’s established programme in Leading Strategic Change as a foundation, this 10-day programme examined ways to clarify the need for strategic change and observe potential barriers and pitfalls to its implementation.

Central to the programme was an analysis of strategic approaches to implementing successful change, exploring their relative applicability or adaptability to the participants’ local contexts. Participants were introduced to new concepts and involved in exercises to understand key change theories and their practical implementation. In cases where participants were directly involved in change situations in their own organisations, these were identified and examined to provide concrete support in development planning, providing an important transferable learning activity.

Participants gained an understanding of proven techniques which allowed them to establish a realistic view of the present, create a future vision and develop a methodical way to minimise risk as they move towards a new way of working.

At the end of the programme participants were able to return to their organisations and:

  • Successfully deliver strategic change in their own environment
  • Ensure their organisation’s ability to respond to change
  • Use models and practical advice that help to bring about effective strategic change in a variety of situations

Participants gained an understanding of proven techniques which allowed them to establish a realistic view of the present, create a future vision and develop a methodical way to minimise risk as they move towards a new way of working.
